Luc Dewez completed his musical studies at the Brussels Conservatory where he obtained degrees for cello, flute, chamber music and a 1st prize in conducting. He followed further studies at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth and at the Delmold Hochschule in Germany. He is an appreciated chamber music player within the Arthur Grumiaux Trio and the Brussels String Quartet. His discography includes a dozen CDs mainly devoted to the trio and the quartet repertoire. He plays a Venetian cello Bartolomeo Tassini from 1755.
